The hanger was designed for the fashion brand Porsche Design and can be used either as a gift or in the shop.
Exploration into existing hangers and types of hangers and materials was done in the precedent board
The brand is not there for the everyday person but is seen as a status symbol of functional design.
Colour usage in the brand is mostly black and white. A dash of colour is visible in the clothing. Polished metal bits either in silver or gold are seen regularly. Leather is widely used in all the products.
Problems and opportunities were expolored in existing hangers and how they interact with the clothing. The hangers also gives shape to the clothing.
From concept sketches the following three directions where chosen.
Concept 2 was chosen as the final design and was refined with the help of development models.
